Thanks to generous scholarship opportunities like the Sky Soldiers Foundation, I was able to pay for my first semester at the University of Alabama without any out-of-pocket expenses, using scholarship funds alone. As a business major, this support has made a tremendous difference in allowing me to focus on my education and work toward my future career goals.I was also recently invited to join the National Society of Leadership and Success, an exciting opportunity that I am proud to share as I continue to grow academically and develop my leadership skills.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank your organization for investing in my education and supporting my future. Your generosity has helped ease the financial burden of college and allowed me to focus on building a strong foundation for my future. The Sky Soldiers Foundation is honored to announce the receipt of a $1000 donation in the name of Sky Soldier Schimpf
We are very grateful that VFW P0st 1963 chose to honor John through this contribution. Their generosity will help us in supporting a deserving student while also providing a meaningful way to preserve John's memory. In addition, we will add $173 to the $1,000 donation, bringing the total to $1,173. Next year, we will award a $1,173 scholarship in John Schimpf's name. We believe this will be a fitting and lasting tribute to John and a wonderful way for their gift to make a difference in a student's future. John served with Company B, 2nd 503rd March of 1964 thru March 1966.
Supporting the Sky Soldiers Foundation and honoring heroes through the 173d Airborne Association's Gold Star Fund.
The Sky Soldiers Foundation is honored to announce a generous contribution from Association member James Gore. James donated $15,000 to our Foundation, with the funds equally divided among our Scholarship Fund, General Activities Fund, and the Gold Star Program. Even more impactful, his employer matched the donation with an additional $15,000, bringing the total gift to $30,000. This increased the amount being added to each fund to $10,000.
Because the Gold Star Program is administered directly by the Association, we will transfer $10,000 to the 173d Airborne Association to support their ongoing Gold Star efforts.
We extend our deepest gratitude to James for his remarkable generosity. His gift, combined with his employer’s matching program, highlights how Association members can maximize the impact of their support. Matching donations are a powerful way to ensure that contributions go even further in honoring our mission and assisting our Sky Soldier community.
